A$AP Rocky Reveals the Major Way His Kids Changed Him
A$AP Rocky may be a fashion icon, a creative rapper and a budding actor–but his proudest title is no doubt being a father to his three children, sons RZA, Riot Rose, and daughter Rocki Irish. And now he’s opening up about the sweet ways they’ve already had an influence on his life.
While Rocky is gearing up to release his new album “DON’T BE DUMB” after nearly 10 years, he’s also taking the time to dote on his kids and explain how they’ve somewhat softened him since they’ve arrived. Speaking in a new interview with W Magazine, Rocky explained that he’s gotten more in touch with his emotional side since being around his little ones.
“I am way more emotional,” the “Punk Rocky” rapper said. “Before the kids, I was probably cold-hearted. But now I’m a loving kind of fella. I’ve got a lot of love to give to the world.”
Later, when asked about the future suitor who dares to step to his daughter when she gets old enough to date, Rocky only had one piece of advice for him: “I’m going to pray for them.”
While he prays for that person, his fans are going to praying that his aforementioned forthcoming album “DON’T BE DUMB” will be worth the wait. As we previously told you, Rocky’s going all out with the promo for it and recently decided to do so in a way that was equal parts creative and charitable. The rapper recently teamed up with Bilt, a loyalty and payments platform that lets residents earn rewards on rent, for a “Rent Free” campaign in celebrating the release of his fourth studio album.
Through that program, he was able to cover January’s rent for residents who just so happened to live in the same building where he grew up in Harlem. Speaking on the collaboration, Rocy said: “For me, it’s always been about your community and neighborhood. Harlem made me who I am, from uptown to downtown, and that connection to place is everything.”
I guess tapping into his emotional side has also made him more generous! We love to see it and the help he’s dishing out.
